Im a huge fan of Ghouls'n'Ghosts, and I was somehow eld to believe this game would be a spiritual successor in 3D to that title. And though in some ways I guess you could say it is, it never gave me the GnG- feeling.

The game is similar to GnG in that its pretty hard, though more in a challenging than frustrating way. It is also pretty straighforward, you hardly ever have to wonder where you should go but sorta follows a track.
the controls are pretty good and theres some finesse to the combat.

However, the game never got me really involved, rather it felt ever more repetitive the longer i played, and i was getting more and more put of by the bad design and art direction that takes the theme of GnG totally in the wrong direction.

The sub-par music score is another low, it begins fairly promising with the GnG- homage on the first level, but one the second level it consists mostly of annoying sounds that add othing to the atmosphere.

Bottom line; this was not what i expected, its not a bad game but theres not really aything in it that makes me wanna spend time with it.
