Well it certainly took a long time for Marvel vs Capcom 2 to hit the Playstation 2. The game is still fairly popular in arcades apparantly and this can only help I guess. But you won't get anything more than what Dreamcast owners have been experiencing for years. Marvel vs Capcom 2 pits a roster of some 50+ characters from both universes in a hectic fighter. Its three on three, and not only can you tag in anyone at any time but you can have your teammates run in for a brief assist. At high levels of play, this is a major factor. Unfortunatly, half the game's roster is useless, as certain characters (Cable, Magneto, etc) are over-powered. And while the game has every character from its Dreamcast and Arcade counterpart, you have to unlock them. And the process for unlocking all of them is extremely painful. You have to beat Arcade mode over and over and over and over and over and over again. The AI sucks and outside of this incredibly tedious chore, there's no single player value. If you play the arcade version competitively but lack a Dreamcast. Then get it. If you like the arcade version and have friends who can provide multiplayer combat, get it. Otherwise, by weary about purchasing Marvel vs Capcom 2. Have you considered Guilty Gear X2?
