Mario Power Tennis is a great game. For those of you who played and enjoyed Mario Tennis for N64, I can thoroughly recommend this game. Others, who are looking for some great multiplayer action, or simply a great tennis game, should also consider Mario Power Tennis. Game play in Mario Power Tennis is about as deep as the game play in the N64 version. The AI ranges from pitiful to ace, which is nice... Unfortunately, game play doesn't vary much, and after a while it gets EXTREMELY repetitive. The added Power Shots were really the major difference between the N64 and GC games. These power shots really add a dimension to the game. Nintendo has also added a ton of Mini-Games and Gimmick Courts which are great. Even these are a lot of fun multiplayer. The graphics in Mario Power Tennis are seamless. Not only have I had no issues with the 3-D camera, but the game play and cut scene graphics are simply amazing compared to other Mario games available on the GC. The sound is also very clear, although I had some problems with it when I tried to use the surround sound speakers. The power shot and cut scene sounds are really good though. Mario Power Tennis offers great multiplayer action. I only played with one other person, but it was a great experience, especially with AI's to balance the tables in Doubles Matches. I can't wait to try out the 4 player action. The one player mode may be disappointing, but the multiplayer modes are great fun.
