Mario Party was one of my favorite games that came out for the Nintendo 64. I remember staying up all night with a few of my friends playing this game for hours on end. Although it wasn't overly complicated, it could get very competitive.

Mario Party was like playing a Super Mario themed board game where your objecive was to collect stars and coins. After every player had thier turn, there would be a mini game, which made the game more interesting. There were about sixty different ones. Combining the board game aspect with the different types of minigames was a great idea, because it made a large amount of planning and strategy necessary to outwit your opponants.

One of the great things about the game was that there were so many ways to turn the standings around. Even if you were losing very badly, you could steal a star from the leader or land on a chance place and turn everything around. The game lasted for as many turns as the players set at the beggining, and it always turned into a last minute rush for points in the last few turns of the game.

This game brings back some fun memories and I would reccomend this one to anyone who still has a Nintendo 64. The Mario Party series has been declining in quality more and more, and the original Mario party is by far the best. Multiple gametypes, modes, minigames and even unlockables make Mario party one of my favorite N64 games.
