Gamespot was a little to hard on this game in my opinion, but not entirely wrong. Game still dissapoints on the Wii

I still enjoyed playing this game every now and then on my n64 or on my pc with project64, but then my sister lost my N64 copy. Then i went to buy one on ebay, but considering 10 bucks on the wii is about 50%+ cheaper than a used copy from ebay, that is where i believe gamespot is wrong on how it's not worth it, 20 bucks or 10, what do you wanna pay. As for graphics, on par with the N64, dont expect any kind of high def or anything obviously.

However, other parts gamespot pointed out are right on the ball, "glitched" sounds, specifically the coin sounds it makes when the game counts the ranking points at the end of a race, sounds super cheap, this problem doesn't exist in project64's emulator, and neither do all the other cheaped up sounds, doesn't sound as clean as the original or pj64's emulator. Another thing, shooting backwards does feel slightly awqward, but manegeable, theres something wrong with the analog using the gamecube controller. I don't usually brag, but im an old pro in this game, I beat nintendo's best record for bowsers castle, mastered the whole game along with its glitch shortcuts, so id assume I know how to steer, I mastered the drifting, drift boosts, and so on, and even though I never spin out when i play the pj64 version, I spin out more often that not on the wii version, I never spun out that much on 150cc as a noob, it was ridiculous, as was the computers agression levels, which was a nice change, but the analog is why i didnt give this a higher rating, I dont care for sounds as much as playing quality, and thats exactly whats been dumbed down in this.
