Mario never mixed well with any sport besides Tennis. And its no time to experiment Nintendo!

As far as the Mario sports games go these days, things aren't looking so good for the red plumber and friends. I think where the Mario series belongs is back in the Galaxy or back in their own universe. But there is yet to be confirmation if those sports outings were experiments or not. But for the recent DS outing, Mario Hoops 3 on 3, it is probably safe to say Yes, this wasn't meant to be.

Mario Hoops is a somewhat strategic game of Basketball. Mario and pals return to deliver the heat, but how much heat is there to go around? Apparently, not many. The game is relatively short and frustrating. I would even go as far as to saying that this game is a big, fat, waste of your precious time and money. And it is. But there is some fun to be had in this flawed Basketball game.

The most fun you will have is looking at the graphics and learning how the game works. While this game isn't exactly for the experts, it isn't exactly a piece of cake ether. The game has some very pretty and impressive graphics, which as I said, are fun to look at. The gameplay on the other hand is not as good. It is rather frustrating to do even simple moves such as passing and even shooting. Its not because of difficulty. Its because this game is somewhat only half finished it seems like.

A bad piece of cake if you ask me, Mario Hoops is a waste of 30 dollars. Just don't bother with it.
