2K Sports Really Struck Out With This One

User Rating: 3 | Major League Baseball 2K9 X360
When i popped this game into my 360 for the first time, i espected this to be a decent baseball game, but what i found instead was a confusing, incoherent mess that comes nowhere close to being true baseball. its problems include, but are not limited to: rubbish fielding controls, ugly character designs, no season play, home runs are much too common (football-like scores, if not higher), absurd commentary, serious bug issues, and a ton of other things. This game was rushed big time, and no effort was made at all to fix these issues. the fielding controls are so bad that sometimes the slightest rock of the left analog stick will cause the selcted fielder to dart in the opposite direction you want him to go to get the ball, and the biggest irritation i experienced was the fielder moving out of the way of a pop fly ball when trying orient him to make the catch. plus the infielders are never in any hurry to get the ball once it is hit into play, reason why so many base hits occur and so many double plays are almost never possible. Overall, 2K9 is a big insult to baseball simulation. Clearly, nobody tested this game for bugs and it was obviously rushed, reason being that there is no season play, bad controls, and just really bizarre gameplay altogether. (And i thought 2K7 on the DS and GBA were awful...) 2K Sports really struck out with this one...
