I rented this game (thank god) just to see how it compared to The Show before I purchased a baseball game for this season. I normally play the Show and am very happy with it but I wanted to see what else was out there. Well, needless to say I went out and purchased The Show after playing 2k11 after about an hr. 2K11 isn't a terrible game and I guess if it's the only choice you have than go for it but I found it laughably lacking in the visual category. The player models look like something from ps1 with better effects added in. Again maybe I am spoiled with The Show but it is a glaring weakness to an otherwise decent game. It's strange that a company that can make a photo-realistic game like NBA 2K11 can make such an uninspiring looking game as this. The controls aren't that bad but the swings the players take are pretty ugly and anyone who has played baseball will notice this. Natural like swings and pitching motions are important to me when playing a game like this and they missed the mark big time IMO. Maybe I am too picky but I would rate The Show much higher than this game because of the time The Show put into making it look real vs 2K11. Again if it is your only choice than it is what it is but if you can get The Show get it.

I love baseball so I bought both 2k11 and the show 11. By far the show is the better game. no doubt about it. Better graphics, better animations, more fine tuning and higher production values. But... 2k is alot more fun... Read Full Review
