I hate to point fingers, but it seems that a certain reviewer is either a console fanboy or didn't play this game extensively and just went off of last year's version, assuming that this year's version would suck also. I don't even think 2k9 deserved a 5.5!! Maybe you are just playing the console version and assuming the PC version is the same game? I agree, it is not up to the level of The Show yet, but I have played this game fairly extensively and I can tell you it deserves an 8 or 8.5 at the least. I have last year's version and I can also tell you 2k10 is a way better game, not only in presentation and graphics, but most importantly, gameplay. Most of the serious bugs and gameplay errors are gone or very minimal, and the MLB today feature is really nice. I haven't even tried the My Player option yet and even without that this is still a good game. And not only that, but the game is only $29 on PC compared to what, $60 on consoles? Value for the dollar is way better here if you ask me. It also runs reallly smoothly if you have a good machine to play it on. Animations are far smoother than last year's version also. The commentary is usually spot on and very insightful, and not too repetitive. So for anyone else who has played this year's PC version, has a decent gamepad to play it on and can actually give it a legitimate review, please, stand up and defend this game!! Based on the various improvements over last year and without any patches yet, I have to give 2k10 for PC an 8.5.
