A 5.5 is completely wrong, I would say an 8 for someone who doesn't like baseball games and a 9 or above for others

I haven't really gotten into a baseball game since Ken Griffey Jr. for N64 so this was a fresh experience. I knew all about the 2k9 reputation but I had recently upgraded my pc with a 280 gtx so I wanted to get this. By the way, I LOVE baseball, it is not my favorite sport but I pitched growing up so I have an engraved passion. The graphics are beautiful, although some faces leave something to be desired. I have had no bugs, nor any problems but the online right now is struggling. I am not interested in ranked games because I will be participating in a season with 30 others from MPVMODS.com, but the ranked matchmaking system is broken as of now (there is a patch confirmed).

Overall, the pitching is FANTASTIC, it is a great system. The batting is almost entirely timing based with the pulling back and pushing forward of the right stick for a swing, but it grew on me after a few games and is very realistic. The announces, MLB Today (Live stats and game synchronization) makes this game exremelly immersive. I have heard so many interesting comments it is ridiculous, and I have found my heart bumping as I went for a rally in the 9th. Overall, this is a good game. I have played a multitude of games so this is not simply a 1st impression. There is a patch coming to fix some online aspects so I am not worried about that.


Overall, grout commentary, great graphics, excellent pitching, decent batting, decent fielding (with great throwing system). Overall, if you like baseball this game is a must have for ONLY $30. I used an old xbox 360 wired controller and it works fine.
