You will NOT be disappointed!
Visuals:
Dont let the comic book visuals scare you away, this game is one the the prettiest looking games available for the wii. Even though its in black and white its an extremely well executed game that actually makes your Wii get off its ass and use some of its graphic ability.
Camera: Gamespot is retarded, the camera is perfectly fine. You can see everything perfectly, without obstruction. You can lock onto opponents so they always stay within the line of sight. Whats wrong with that?
Controls: Smooth controls without too much waggling around. The only time that requires swinging is when youre either about to murder someone or during one of the boss fights in a "power struggle" where you have to shake both nunchuck and wiimote and quick as you can so you can overpower the boss and gain the upper hand. Trust me LOADS of fun. You'll want to fight the bosses over and over again just to see the cinematics and clever way Jack (your main character) pwns the bosses after you defeat them.
Storyline: Outstanding story, i wont ruin it because the ending is quite entertaining. The story is well written so you're never ahead or behind of whats going on. The voices in the game are perfectly matched for the characters so it adds a bit of authenticity to each character.
Gameplay: Most of you might be turned off by the word "arcade" and you'll think "omfg, fml another arcade casual gamer title...no ty" Dont be an idiot, this game is amazing.
The reason its arcade style is because you're scored on how you kill someone. For example if you pummel a guy to death with your fists and kicks then you wont get a lot of points. But if you pummel him, stick a signpost in him, jam a vase over his head and throw him in a meatgrinder then, hey, suddenly you're racking up thousands and thousands of points. So once you bag enough points, you unlock minigames and eventually the level boss.
Downside: The commentary is freaking hilarious! Unfortunately, if you get stuck in a level and youre doing it over and over again because you keep dying then it gets a little repetitive.
The game itself is kinda short (5-10 hours) when you run it through the first time. However, once you unlock hardmode then it'll take you alot longer to complete, its just unfortunate that you have to beat the game in order to get it.
Final word: This game should be on the shelf of every Wii owner, hands down. Its so funny, serious, and addictive. The story will keep you on the edge of your seat and you'll see yourself playing right through the night just to see what happens next. If you dont like blood and violence, please leave. But for every other wii owner that is sick of Rail shooters and "casual" games then please run to your nearest retailer and buy yourself a copy of MADWORLD.
