The developers of this heard the calls of wii owners demanding a great Mature title on Wii. and they answered it

User Rating: 9.5 | MadWorld WII
I know what you are thinking 9.5 really? well this game was going to get a 9.0 because it does get repeative at times and is short, but the developers of this game answered the call of mature titles on wii, with quality too. Sadly it didn't sell too good so ya it deserves a .5 up.
One more thing if you don't like noir comic style (black and white with red), blood and gore, dark and dirty humor, or beat em ups. You will not like this game.
Ok on to the review
gameplay: the game is a beat em up where you are scored on how creative your kills are. This is done by how you used the environment, how much was in your combo, and the how many of the objectives you did in the blood bath challeges. everything in the environment is a weapon like a sign post going through their neck to the grinder in the food market, EVERYTHING. You chain them together by combining a number of nonlethal to an exicution one. This is working in anyway you like, but killing with the chainsaw on your arm is for quick kills and not that much points. The motion controls are used a lot in this game and it is like a work out in a good way. The way you use the controls are every realistic where if your are cutting off a head you will thrush you hand like how Jack is doing it. There are blood bath challeges were the player has to kill people in a certain way with a time limit. Their is a host to these that is a pimp that will remind you of kenny from south park cause he is killed by his ho and then come back in the next one. There is a boss at the end of each level and they are very epic to unlock the boss you have to get a large number of points. The bosses are half pop culture references and the other half are characters made for the game. These bosses are mostly bigger then jack and the ones that are his size are easy but still epic. There are announcers that will add comedy to the game they are voiced by Greg Proops and John DiMaggio. Somethings they were not heard cause of the music and yelling of the enemy but that didn't happen too much.
Story:
The story is very deep, it is thin in the beginning then get turns into a great materpiece that we need more in cinema today. The story is terrorists have isolated a city then turn it into a game show called Death Watch that is like reality tv where people are killing people, simplier to the movie The Running Man. Everyone is force to fight or die from a virus, if they fight they get the anidote. You are Jack who is sent into the city to stop the show by being a contestent. He is one of the most badass people you are going to see in video games ever. He is like cratos from god of war badass, he will kill anyone who stands in his way, he does have heroic qualities but you never know for sure if he did it for the games or if he wanted to and that is badass. There is only one thing that can make him anymore of a badass if he had an ash william's chainsaw for an arm, oh wait he does. The story is like a quitine tartinto movie, with pop culture references, one liners, and loads of killings.
The graphics:
They are very stylish. It is like playing in a noir comic book, but for me it looks the most like Sin City. The graphics look like there was an insane amount of detail put in it cause if black and white are the only colors you have to add a careful touch to make sure nothing is blending together.
The music:
Wow what do I say? This is GREAT rap and hip hop. It fits the game very well, like how jazz fit cowboy bebop. You didn't see the mix working but do to this great selection of the songs it did. The music is one of the best parts of the game cause it worked even if you didn't like the genre.
The Bad:
THe game is 7-8 hours long and gets repetative at times. The game is short but there is a lot a replay value due to a hard mode after you bet the game that is really hard and 2 new weapons.
Final thoughts:
This is a great game that needs a sequel cause the ending left it open for one but if there is no sequel the story is not on a cliff hanger. The game is like the Cowboy Bebop of video games with Steve Blum as a vioce actor, great story, being short, and using music has a major part of the experience this is the new cowboy bebop. The game is 20 dollars and worth every penny buy this game and be MAD
