Football's finest hour

User Rating: 8.8 | Madden NFL 2005 XBOX
alright lets get to it where espn failed to deliver madden does, i know madden is a old fat man who eats entirely way to much chicken and dosent get enough exersise, and yes he is not as hip to dip as ESPN. But the man knows football just as last year this game is brilliant . The price my not be 20.00 but if you r like me and r looking for a true football simulation without getting nailed in the slot by ray lewis this game is tha only way to go. The overall presentation of this game is well same ol same ol. nothing new in this department, the graphics look betta then previous installments but not by much not even a full point. The animations r realistic enough, the thing i was most dissapointed with presentation wise r tha celebrations or lack there of. i mean if i make a huge play i dont want my man to turn into a statue once tha plays over its a total buzz killer. Okay now The new defensive editions r amazing speciffacly the hit stick with one flick of tha analog stick and the right timing you can change tha whole outcome of the game by laying it on your opponent when its most needed. be careful though timing is everything you miss and more then likely you will pay tha price. The amonts of things you can do at tha line is at fist overwhelming but with a few hours practice you will be hot blitzing, spyin, containing, doble teaming, bump and runnin and dominating in no time. For me i like to pound tha ball down my opponents throat, sadly though its really hard to do tha blocking just aint their and tha linebackers r just all over tha place. passing is where its at just like last year although with the improved defense its just not as easy as last year. So if I were you I would pay tha full price and own the game that can rightfully claim King of the Gridiron. The essence of football lies n madden not in the pretty packaged ESPN 2K5, remember kiddies you get what you pay for. SIX1NYNE signing out.
