whoever thought of changing the cover of Madden NFL 10 and calling it Madden NFL 11 was not very smart.

User Rating: 2 | Madden NFL 11 PS2
Okay, i've tried to be patient with the PS2 Madden series ever since Madden 07. It just kept feeling like the same game as the year before, but now the latest Madden release hit a new low.

Gameplay:

I try to be very detailed with my reviews, but what can I say? Read my review on Madden 10 if you want the gameplay reviewed on this game. Because, lets face it, it's the same exact thing. Well, they added Gus Johnson for commentary which actually is pretty great. But that is probably all that the nice stuff I have to say about this game. The playbooks are apparently supposed to be deeper than ever before but some plays/formations are actually left out from the previous release.

Gameplay - Graphics:

Maybe a little worse than Madden 10 actually, as you see the little details are left out this time and the commonly-ignored crowd graphics are left un-changed.

Game Modes / Features:

WOAH, CREATE AN NFL DYNASTY! Nah, it's just franchise mode. As you will notice with the back of the box, the game will try to fool you by trying to say that such modes as "create an nfl superstar" is better than ever before. It couldnt be worse than ever before.

Features - Soundtrack:

WOAH, A WHOLE FIVE SONGS. Maybe like 2 more than that, the Madden 11 soundtrack for the Ps2 seemed rarely worked on, as they bring in Retro songs that were big hits like 10 years ago. You will get bored with the soundtrack quickly and may wanna switch to your ipod.

Features - Rosters:

Well, I noticed that Madden has finally updated the pictures for all the players, but some stats are left unoticed, like apparently Mark Sanchez and Mathew Stafford didnt have a rookie season. And the rookie rankings are highly over and underrated, such as Eric Berry having a 95 overall before taking 1 play on defence.

Final Thoughts -

The Good: Gus Johnson added to commentary, WOAH FIGHT FOR THE FUMBLE ( oh wait, that was added last year), new player pictures,

The Bad: soundtrack, player ratings suck, and everything else,

Final Ratings -

Gameplay: 1.4/10

Graphics: 2/10

Fun Factor: 1.2/10

Controls: 2.2/10

sound: 3.2/10

Final Ranking - 10/50 - 2/10 : terrible

Well, thats all I have to really say about Madden NFL 10 for the PS2. oh wait, I mean 11. Please dont make the mistake of wasting 40 dollars on this game. If there is a Madden 12 for the PS2, i'm probably going to buy every copy and burn em, so no one will have to suffer the pain I have.
