It looks great. It plays okay. It's one of those games that holds your hand and tells you what to to do and doesn't allow you to progress unless you do exactly what it wants to you to. Now I imagine it's okay for kids but even kids these days deserve better.
I know it's Lego's formula but I found the smashing stuff to get coins tedious and it comes off as a cheap mechanic just to make you think there's more to the game play when it's just basically a button masher. Having Captain America smash flowers in a park to get coins doesn't fit my idea of Captain America.
Best thing I can say is if you like Marvel and their world, it's worth playing through just to see the little movie going on between the action sequences but if you're thinking you're getting a great game, think again.
Personally I had more fun with the 3DS version which stripped away a lot of the boring gameplay and resulted in a tighter more fun experience.
