Why did they fix what wasn't broken?

User Rating: 6.5 | LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues X360
The Bad: Not enough puzzles † Totally changed a working system for buying unlockables † Can't share created levels

Story: It follows the movies pretty well, though I honestly think they focused more on Crystal Skull because while we got a few levels of the first three movies, Crystal Skull got three separate environments.

Gameplay: This is my biggest problem with the game. Sure, there are open world environments. However, there is a separate distinct environment for each of the original movies and three for the newest one. Furthermore, we have to unlock all the characters and vehicles for each environment.

This is why I feel they fixed what wasn't even broken in the first place. In previous Lego games, there was a central spot for unlocking. Then they changed it to four spots in Lego Harry Potter: Cheats, codes, characters and gold bricks but I was okay with it. Now you have to find something like a vehicle or character before unlocking it. Also, the red bricks of past games were gone, to be replaced by red, green and blue bricks only found in the environment.

The levels weren't that great either. There was no free play mode. We couldn't select who we wanted to enter a level. I also got a sense that during story mode a second player was useless. On occasion, someone other than Indy was required to complete a task but not very often.

Sound: The sound was great as always. Sure, the characters don't speak, but they're not supposed to. They grunt and motion to try to tell the player what's happening.

Graphics: Like any Lego game, the game uses cartoon-style graphics. The Legos look hard and the graphics look great except for when there's a glitch and a vehicle starts bouncing around.
