Speaking as a huge Legaia fan/RPG fan, I would have to say that there was no effort put into the game.
I was expecting much more from EIDOS considering their history in the gaming industry. It seems as though they rushed the game and had skipped through alot. So lets get to the main point now.
Graphics are nice, cant complain, unfortunately there is no voice acting in the game, except for mini parts in the game, and the voice acting is horrible even then.
Storyline is terrible, and could not compare to the original legaia game.
Legaia 2 has no connection to the original game, so dont get mixed up when you see a look like of the main character on the cover of the game in Legaia 2.
Music is extremely annoying and frustrating, thats about all I could say.
As I said before, the battle system in the series rocks harder than anything. Extremely unique battle system as well as addictive, even though we are talking about Legaia 2. The battle system in the game works as follows, you choose with which part of your body you would like to attack with,(leg, arm, head, or shoulder, I think) and the game does it for you, sometimes you end up doing combos and other cool moves. Might sound weird, but believe me, it is enjoyable.
Overall I would recommend the gamer to play the original game before playing this game, due to the storyline and other basics. And for the ones that already bought Legaia 2 and have not played the original game, all I have to say is, do not judge the original game by this game, they are very different. Enjoy!!!
