Quite the good game, a must buy.

User Rating: 8.6 | Legaia: Duel Saga (PlayStation 2 the Best) PS2
Legaia 2 is the sequal to the PS version of Legend of Legaia. Legend of legaia was a decent game but didn't have much to it, and needed quite a few improvements. When I first picked up Legaia 2, I could really tell that they improved on the last one. There aren't really hard parts that seem almost impossible to beat anymore. There's a great addition to the weapon and armor system. Most importantly, you don't have to "learn" the enemy moves in order to get more magic (an almost impossible task). Gameplay-9/10 Legaia 2 has quite the interesting form of combat. You have a certain amount of art blocks to which you input commands (left, right,up,down). Whenever you input the correct a certain chain of command, you perform an art, to which you gain AP. You use these AP in order to perform Super Arts, Hyper Arts, Miracle Arts, and Variable Arts. Once you get a good amount of these arts discovered, it becomes more stategic to decide what the best combination of arts to get the most damage. They have a neat weapon, armor, and accessory system. You buy what you need to equip at shops. When you fight enemies, you'll eventually accrue a lot of materials. You can use these materials to create new weapons and armor. You can also buy them later in shops, but this way, you don't spend extra money and you get it earlier. The way that accessories work is that you gain experiance on your accesories to unlock some of their abilities. Then, you can combine 2 accessories to get a new accessory that has better abilities. Some of the bad things is that it may not seem that there aren't enough sidequests. There are some mini-games where you need to really master to get "really special" items (not at liberty to tell). There's also a Hunter's Guild where you take on some errands, but that's about it for sidequests. Graphics-7/10 Not very special. Kind of like usual RPGs but there are times where their mouths and hands are not very well done. Sound-8/10 Nice, not bad not great. It never seemed to be annoying either. Value-9/10 Really good game, and not expensive at all anymore. I picked mine up for $12.99 Story-8.5/10 Sort of typical. Save the world kind of thing. There are people called Mystics who have a symbol on them somewhere. They have different Origins inside of them, but only one special one per person. There's an evil Mystic with an all powerful Origin who wants to rid the world of humans and leave only Mystics, due to an unhealthy experiance with humans. In conclusion this is a really must have for RPG fans. You'll really enjoy this game My score 8.6/10
