Find out why Steam Workshop support for Left 4 Dead 2 is terrific and what surprises and delights await you in a modded L4D2 experience.
Was insanely excited about the Velociraptors until I realized that they were playable Velociraptors as opposed to ones I would be shooting at.
I've stopped to play this game 1 year ago...
But now i need to play this game.
I'm reinstalling now, i love you valve.
I think that Starship Trooper bugs should be an option in many more games. Tired of koopas? Starship Trooper bugs. Tired of templars? Starship Trooper bugs. Tired of pidgeys and spearows in the tall grass? Starship Trooper bugs. Tired of Starship Trooper bugs? Add more Starship Trooper bugs. The possibilities are endless!
my step-kid plays this game because she's into the fan-fic side of the game. So I went in and modded them to raptors.
If you have an Ipad you can get Dead Trigger for literally free and it looks about 10 times better. It is an Ipad game so you have to adjust to the controls. But it's free!
Seems like I've been playing these campaigns like "Back 2 School" and "Helms Deep" for a couple years now. Good stuff.

I stopped playing this game 2 years ago. Clicking on Steam, reinstalling the mofo, and downloading the mods.
It's hard / nearly impossible to find / play with other people with the same custom maps... the most common popular map is Helms Deep...
PC Gaming is so awesome with all the mods. Going back to games like KOTOR2 with the restoration mod, all the old and new NWN1/NWN2 user made campaigns and even a game like left4dead2 that I havnt played in a bit, now is tons of fun again because of the mods. Hell, I beat New Vegas 8 times because of mods lol
Modding IS paradise, that's beside the point, though the raptors would be better than just humans...actually fun to play!
Neat, may have to reinstall LFD2 now on PC. Have 2 copies for 360 for sys link play. Yea I got two 360's.
Granted I like the workshop but I get most of my mods from l4dmaps.com
Funny Cause I recently picked this up again and started modding and GS writes posts a video about it.
@chnplb625There is already an Aliens mod out there. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=122241777
Steam Workshop FTW! This is where PC gaming beats console gaming anyday of the week. With the release of the workshop it's breathed new life into the game and drawn back players into the community. This is far superior to having to pay for DLC to get an extra campaign level or character skins.
That's pretty awesome, thanks for the heads up. It's been a while since I looked at L4D2 mods; they sure have come a long way.
Haha love the constant use of Arachnids, gave me a good laugh. "I'm from Buenos Aires and I say KILL 'EM ALL!!!!"
So Isla Nublar was invaded by the Arachnids and it fell to the remaining intelligent Raptors to scrounge up the abandoned human weapons and defend their newly built mountain fortress.. there is just a level of insanity and epicness to it that feels so...right.
I can see the tag line now, "Come on you skinks, you want to live forever!?!?!?"
I don't really use the Steam workshop. I've tried a few Skyrim mods, but that's it. Now that additional maps can be downloaded and automatically installed through Steam, looks like I'll be trying some new campaigns this weekend. Gotta squish some arachnids too. Rico's Roughnecks hooah!
oh, I had the game boy version, it was fucking awesome, never completed it though, way to hard for me back then! xP
Ive experienced so much gaming joy on PC with the L4D games & a good group. Its been a few months since I last played them so this Is great.
Not realated, but I hate the unfolding menus bar above, here at Gamespot. They always pop-up on the top of the videos when I'm about to click for pause/play and send my elsewhere. I just hate them.
