Biggest thing I don't get, having an R18+ classification doesn't even necessarily mean more violent games, the OFLC will still classify them and still choose what is let in and what isn't. R18+ classification just gives them more flexibility, not as though we're opening the flood gates to hell.
i understand that the might have a problem about selling games to under aged gamers but if there parents knowingly buy the game for there child whats the problem. i know my parents arnt thrilled with me playing M games but they let me and im not a bad kid or any thing so there isnt any point really to these whole thing
I feel for you guys down under. Hopefully you guys get a R18 soon. Besides they can just enforce strict laws on selling to under agers if thats really the problem!
there just scared, when they do something a hockey mum will make a compliant and make them look bad. it just short sighted. 95% or whatever want, it so can a politician stand up to a scary mum in shorts. they should but cant. they lost there soul when they joined politics.
What happened to the idea of 'limited government'? The wide Australian public have voted heavily supporting the 18+ rating, yet the government do not take this into account when making decisions for our country. Who's in the wrong?
great interview guys keep more stuff like this coming we need to keep applying the pressure anyway we can!! and just tell everyone we can that we need this R18 rating so games get classified correctly so kids under 18 cant play R18 games! and that we keep the money here in australia so it creates more jobs and more funding for the aussie game industrie!!
It's a disgrace that this hasn't been sorted sooner for the Aussies! I hope for their sake it gets sorted soon, I know I'd be beyond pissed off by this stage.
i think they should just let in R18+ and it's not like we are forcing people to buy the games, if you dont like just dont buy the game.
Really good interview guys. Come on Aussie gamers! We all need to really be active about this issue!
