User Rating: 8.5 | L.A. Noire X360
L.A. Noire sees you playing Detective Cole Phelps, a man who just came back from the war and trying to make a name for himself in the 1940's. He enters the police at a point where there is a lot of violence in LA. Cole needs to solve cases by collecting clues, interrogating suspects and questioning witnesses. There's also a fair amount of driving and secret finding involved, but it makes for an enriching experience.

There are a few things that make this game outstanding. The first and most obvious would be the facial tracking they used in this game. Each character has real life facial expressions, making it easy to read if they are lying or not (mostly). The acting is fantastic and the story line is actually really well plotted out and though of. I can't say much about the story without giving anything away, just know that it really gets very interesting the longer you play.

The second thing that makes this game so awesome, is the sheer amount of detail that's been put into every single corer of Hollywoodland. OMW. From the cars on the street, to the rail systems, to the ads and posters on the streets and inside buildings. Everything just gives you this feeling that you really are truly in the 40's. Even the car radio plays you some awesome sound tracks, advertisements and radio shows. It's just fantastic!

Where it lost a few points for me is the beginning of the game where you need to find clues and interrogate. It's pretty much the same thing over and over. But that said, it gets better and better the longer you play. just get past disk 1 and you'r good to go.

Also the AI for the other cars on the street is annoying. Sometimes stopping dead in the streets or coming over into your lane without warning. This is important as you get penalized if you do damage your car or anything in the city.

Awesome game! Really pretty. Ridiculously detailed.
