Kirby: Squeak Squad is a solid but short game with fun fighting though a less than perfect story.

Kirby: Squeak Squad was just plain fun... for 5 hours. The fighting, though 2-D is fun and addictive. There are a lot of different powers and abilities in Kirby, and this adds some variety and customization.

Story: 7/10
The story in Squeak Squad was ok, but it was very simple and made very little sense. Kirby's whole journey is just a quest to get a piece of cake. At the beginning a piece of strawberry shortcake is stolen and Kirby goes to 6 worlds just to get it back. The story was ok but could have been much better.

Gameplay: 9/10
The gameplay in Squeak Squad is good. Although the game is in 2-D, the fighting is fun and addictive. Kirby's ability to suck up and take the abilities of his enemies gives good customization, and allows the player to change Kirby to fit the situation. If Kirby fights a boss where he needs to be in the air to attack, he can use tornado or cupid (I found that tornado was much better because you are invincible while attacking with it.) The game was fun but short. I beat the entire story in 3.5 hours, and it took me about 1.25-1.5 hours go back and collect every treasure box (trust me you should do that, you unlock awesome stuff.) The game was a bit too short, but that had no effect on how fun it was.

Backrounds: 7/10
The backrounds are simple and the music is too. Not much to say there.

Minigames: 8/10
The minigames were fun and you can play against your friend if he has a DS. The minigames mainly use the touchscreen, and are good if you want a break from the story.

Overall: 9/10 (I know that this doesn't go along with the math)
Kirby: Squeak Squad was a fun addictive game. The story is short but when you unlock all the treasure chests you get some bonuses that take a while. I think that Squeak Squad is a game that anyone with a DS should have.
