Look Ma...No D-Pad! This was one the games that finally sold me on the Nintendo DS!

User Rating: 9 | Touch! Kirby DS
This game fully utilises the core feature of the Nintendo DS...the duel screen. Before playing this game (and perhaps one other), I wasn't too impressed with the Nintendo DS as being a successor to the Gameboy advance. This game really showed me what the system was capable of. Due to a spell that an evil witch as placed upon Dream Land, Kirby is transformed into a ball that must be guided by a trail of brush strokes created by the movement of the DS stylus. The gameplay is very innovative while still retaining the classic attributes and fun of the Kirby titles before it. From the boss battles to the way copy abilities are executed...a very new and creative approach was taken. My only disappoint is, is that we never got another Kirby title like this!

My Breakdown:

What's Good:

- Innovative gameplay
- Brings out the best in the Nintendo DS
- Beautiful graphics
- Stays true to the Kirby series
- Cool bonus and post-game features to explore
- A new villian besides King Dedede and Dark Matter
- High replay value

What's Not-So-Good:

- The story is a bit corny but what Kirby game's isn't?
- The bottom DS screen can become a bit scratched up

What's Bad:

- Nothing that I can think of

In all, this is the perfect game to get if you are new to the Nintendo DS and want to get a good feel for what makes the portable so innovative. The mandatory use of the stylus and constant use of both screens during gameplay contributes greatly to this.
