Katamari Damacy is MY favourite Puzzle, or whatever you would call it in a very long time.
Hello there, Katamari Damacy is a unique, budget priced, puzzle game that is very simply put as "Amazing"
You play as a prince and your objective is to be sent to earth by the one and only "King of All Cosmos" and your given a "Katamari" yeah, sounds weird, doesn't it?
A katamari is known as a "Clump" and you roll it by pushing and maneuvering that two analog sticks. Both of them forward move it forward. Both of them back move yourself back and so on.
You are given a task of either making a katamari a certain diameter of Cm, mm, or M. Other stages make you have to pick up a certain kind of item, lets say snacks for example. The more snacks you get, the bigger planet you will create.
Planets resemble the clearance of completeing the level pretty much. The best part of this game is the music. The music is so amazing and unique that the only way I can describe is that -
Two drunk, stoned, hammered, Japanese guys sang the songs themselves and then recorded it as the game soundtrack. This was obviously not the case, but I sure wish it was.
The value of this game, especially for $20 is so immense that you would be a fool not to buy this game.
The Graphics are colorful and cute, but nothing special.
In Katamari Damacy, you can roll up office supplies, food, animals, people, vehicles, anything pretty much. In each level lays a hidden Royal Present which contain special offerings to the king of all cosmos and they go into your collection.
Anways, Katamari Damacy offers unique and out of the box gameplay. The atmosphere and control scheme really works to perfection. The game itself isn't the longest one, but in any puzzle game, you always go back and replay levels.
I would deffinately reccommend this game to any type of gamer. You really can't go wrong with Katamari Damacy.
