An innovative and Amazing game
The Story: The King Of All Cosmos went to the Space (drunk), and while he was flying, he crashed all the Stars plus the moon, braking every single one of them. Here is where you take your roll, The Prince. Yor father comands you to go to Earth and bring your Katamari (ball-type that gathers everything and everyone to it) with you. So that way, with his powers he can throw it to the Space and transform it into a Star. There is also an alongsided story: While the Prince is rolling the katamari, you can see the way like people on earth is seeing the weird things that are happening on Earth, this one being The wonderful Hoshino Family's story.
Gameplay: is really good and you can do everything that is intented to be done without a glicth or error. Plus you play with just the 2 joysticks. No buttons to press, no buttons to cause distress. First in his class.
Graphics: They acomplish again what they want to and not what they can. The graphics fit perfectly on the game atmosphere. Maybe it wouldn't be that cool if they are life-like.
Sound: Wowzers! Just a Masterpiece. Maybe the best Soundtrack ever along with Nobuo Uematsus's. And again, goes perfectly with the game's quirkness, funkyness and unique style never seen.
Value: I give this a 10, no doubt. Don't be fooled by the fact this game is pretty short, you complete the story allright, but that's not what this game is about. You will realize it by playing through.
Reviewer's Tilt: For being the first in his genre, an amazing achievment, unique, really long replay value plus 2 player versus mode. This game beat them all. But, this isn't for everyone, you have too be charmed by The King of all Cosmos quirky humor, the characters, and the story.
Personally, this is my favorite game/series ever.
