Starts of slow, but quickly turns into something impressive.

User Rating: 8.5 | Jak and Daxter: the Precursor Legacy PS2
Jak and Daxter pays great tribute to the legacy of the Naughty Dog Crash Bandicoot series. It is an immersive platformer with alot to do. The story is fun and the characters make it even better. The world of Jak and Daxter is an almost fully free-roaming one and is quite large and free of load times in transitional areas.

The controls are a bit buggy. Sometimes the double jump doesn't seem to want to work, but it isn't bothersome enough to cause problems, just frustration. I felt that Jak could have used a few more "moves", he's got quite a few, but rarely is it required that you use any of them. I feel that a little more integration with Daxter as a playable character would have been a welcome addition also.

All in all, it's one of the best platformers you're going to find on this generation of consoles. It holds it's age well and has a few sequels to keep you begging for more.
