*****REVIEW*****
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jak and Daxter is a platform adventure that puts you in control of a voiceless hero named Jak, along with his funny little furry companion, Daxter. Jak and Daxter has great game-play, funny and interesting character, excellent animation, superb looking environment to the PlayStation 2 standards, and it will make you laugh.

The story revolves around Jak as he sets of on an adventure to help his friend, Daxter. While exploring some ancient ruins on a forbidden island off the coast, Jak's best friend, Daxter, is knocked into a vat of Dark Eco, a terrifying and deadly substance that could corrupt the world forever transforming him into a weasel-like rodent. The village sage, Samos Hagai, tells Jak that there may only be one person who holds the secrets to transforming Daxter back. Now the pair must set out on a quest in search of a wise old sage who has the power to restore Daxter to his former self.
From the very start you will notice two things. One, Jak doesn't speak. And two, Daxter is a loud-mouthed, cocky full of himself, arrogant little smug, and you may even find him adorable after he's transformation. Daxter and even Jak are both very lovable character that you will grow to love even more at you play through the game.

The graphics are great and charming with some nice character modeling, great environments and superb animation.

The game-play is solid and does everything a basic platformer game does. You've got double jumps, super high jumps, crouch, crawl, roll, horizontal launch, you can attack enemies by punching them, kicking them, spinning. You can dive and swim. Jak and Daxter (being a platformer) will consist of you moving from one platform to the other, jumping on ledges and collecting items i.e. Eco. There are all sorts of Eco to collect and different types of Eco will affect you and your environment in different ways. The game-play is very fun and enjoyable.

Overall there really isn't much else to say about Jak and Daxter. It's a very enjoyable game with great character and is funny, which is why Jak and Daxter is my favourite platform game on the PlayStation 2.
