Jade Cocoon: Story of the Tamamayu has good graphics and gameplay to match the game.

When you first start the game you are a person named Levant which you can change that name in the game to what you want it to be. You go to a few ceremony things because you become a cocoon master and you get married the girl that merges and keeps your divine beasts. Eventually in one of your characters nightmares you will face the boss of the game don't worry because you don't have to beat him you just have to get killed to get through the game in a dream. Levant starts out with a weak knife and weak Armour so you will need to upgrade regularly so that you don't get killed easy when minions get an attack on Levant.
The capturing method on this game is very simple you just weaken the minion then try to capture them with your flute your success rate depends on your capturing level compared to the minions level for example high capture level + lower monster level = high rate of success. You will be given a very rare blue dragon only one you can get in this game so you might not want to merge it because of it being that rare. Minions do not have a max level or this game that I know of there might be a max but, it would take a long time to get to it though. There are lots of different forests to go to and at the end the game you get to explore an endless forest.
There are four elements in this game fire, water, air, and earth fire is good against air, is good against earth, is good against water, is good against fire. There are lots of different minions you can make through merging which makes the multiplayer mode more interesting. In that mode you pick three beasts to fight and you are either the dawn side or the dusk just team names and you try to beat your opponent or you could also see how good you made your beasts in battle. All the beasts you have are on battle mode so there is a very good selection of minions for it.
The graphics in this game are the great this game easily looks like one of the best looking Ps1 games by far. The gameplay is great too because you can beat this game several times and still have fun I think I beat his game like four to six times myself. This game would be great for anybody that wants a great game for the PlayStation.
