Sloppy implementation for PS4

User Rating: 7 | inFamous: Second Son PS4

I played both good guy and bad guy (and I'm a fan and player of inFAMOUS from the beginning) ... both are fun games to play, but the entire experience was sloppy and not up to par with the PS3 implementation of inFAMOUS. However, the PS4 did excel in both graphics (excellent) and integration (very good) of controls and menus. It's obvious that the developers were not fully able to give the PS4 the same depth that the PS3 had with story and missions. The missions were repetitive and the story was simple. But, it's a good game to play on PS4 and folks should get it, eventually, to test out their PS4's/HDTV capabilities.

Some comments about play: the climbing ability seems to be lacking. In the past, climbing a building was okay, but it seems this time, you need to hit "X" millions of times to get to the top of the building. Of course, with out any powers. The last power you get seems to be too late. I already cleared out enemies with my current "power" before getting my last; and it was almost useless. The VERY last power is totally useless for the story. Why even give it? Anyone playing the story would have cleared out all enemies before getting the last one? I don't understand.

Anyway, the game is good overall. Repetitive, yes. Original, no. Lacking in development, yes. But, maybe that's the issue of a new console... which performance wise, is great.
