A step in the right direction for dungeon crawlers on the console

To begin, I'd like to start off by saying this game took me 15 hours to beat with a co-op friend, and by the end we were both more than satisfied with the quality of game we had gotten for the 60 dollar price tag we had spent on Hunted, and i was nowhere close to being done with the game, because this is a game worth beating multiple times. I originally purchased this game due to the fact that it was a gaming guarantee at Gamestop, meaning i had the option to return the game within a week if I did not enjoy it, and I would get the full credit that I had originally spent. However I chose not to return this game due to the fact that this game gave me fun i had not got in a few months in a gaming world. If you're looking for a co-op game to play with a friend, you're going to want to look no further, because not only does this game have online co-op, it also has split screen, and this is one of the many things missing in the gaming industry these days.

The game begins with you fighting week skeletons that can easily be taken down, in order for you to learn the combat system, however this does not last long as you are quickly met with newer enemies each act that are difficult to fight in the beginning of the act, however by the end you'll be killing them like a piece of cake. this is due to the fact that this game's leveling and weapon upgrade system does a fantastic job making you feel like "a bad-ass". For example the first time you encounter a Minotaur, you will have great difficulty killing it, because it is presented to the player as a boss, however upon learning the proper tactics for defeating this enemy, you will know how to defeat him next time you encounter him. Now don't get me wrong, this game can still be very difficult if you'd like the challenge, 4 difficulty settings is a great variety for how players would like to play this game.

The story of this adventure may not be the strongest of the stories, however it is nevertheless very interesting. A story is never really expected from a co-op focused game anyways, however this game still delivers a quality experience in very small cut-scenes in order to keep the action going.

The dungeon crawling aspects of this game are fantastic for any dungeon crawling fanatic. No, this isn't the regular "diablo-clone", but rather a hybrid between diablo and gears of war is a perfect hybrid for a console game. There are many secret areas for those expecting exploring and grinding, and although this game is not as open-world as some would like to to be, it still delivers by adding all the extra areas for players to explore.

Overall, this game is great for anybody that is missing the co-op experience that is oh so lost in this generation of gaming. But furthermore you can play this game in single player to level up in order to be able to play some online, and in addition compete in the community made crucible maps.
