This game is far more then you could expect.

There is so much about this game I love I am going to start with what I didn't like just to get it out of the way. There is no duel wield......and it takes more ammo to take the Covies and Promies down. Now that that is out of the way.

When it was announced that Bungie would no longer be a part of the Halo World many wondered if Halo could survive. 343 Industries; though comprising of mostly former Bugie Employees; had the tall task of carrying on with one of gamings most iconic franchises. Could they do it, and would it measure up to Fans expectations.......the answer.....Halo 4.

In Halo Reach there where scenes that made you stop fighting and look at the incredible world they have built. In Halo 4 they have done it again. The Wow factor of a new world is there and then some. But unlike Reach.....Halo 4 pauses a moment to let you take in the new enviornments before all hell breaks loose. That pause is deeply appreciated.

The Promethians and their Master are exceptional and the weapons they bring into the game are outstanding. Sadly you don't run into them till mid game. Till then it's back to battling with the old foes the Covies. Without watching some of the vids on Waypoint one is left wonderng why you are back to battling the Covies after 3 ended in a truce with them. Watch the vids because I really can't fully explain it here and only a full explaination makes sense.

The storyline for Halo 4 is exceptional and extremely creative. Watching Cortana rapid decay is heart wreching and seeing Master Chief struggle to accomplish his mission while trying to save his beloved AI adds an element of suspense rarely seen in games today. Everything in the storyline takes you by surprise and in the end you are left sort of numb from it all. This game grabs you in a way few media do (books, movies, games, etc.)

The campaign was short, but for how intense the game play is; how deep and grabbing the storyline is; and the addition of Spartan Ops, I don't mind it being short. In fact I think if the game would have gone on much longer it might have been too much.

343 Industires had to take a up an increidble mantle when taking on Halo 4. I have to say they have done an extrodinary job. My only advice to them for Halo 5.....bring back the dual wield and give us at least 5 more hours of campaign. Oh.....and please do to Halo 2 what you did for Halo......my copy is wearing out like Cortana did.
