It's not just your average racer because it goes the extra mile to makes its self stand out from the crowd

User Rating: 7.5 | GRID DS
Positives
+ Good solid 3D graphics
+ Fun and easy to use track maker
+ A lot of customisation

Negatives
- World tour can be quite hard

Grid is a racing game, in fact without the extras it would be just your average racing game with a fair score but nothing to make you want to buy it.

There's a custom race mode where you pick your tracks and race and there's also a world tour mode in which you take part in unique challenges across the globe.

Challenges are varied and keep the world tour mode fresh and fun however some can be a bit to hard and we all know losing isn't fun at all.

These challenges can be varied, you can have normal races, time trials, drift challenges and many more.

Now onto the extras, the track maker gives you the oppertunity to make your own maps and try them out in custom race modes (including online multiplayer)

It's really simple to use and lets you customise everything- from the banners on the road, the height of bumps, the time of day and the enviroment around you

Music is homebrew and trance/hip hop/techno styled, over all there isn 't much to say, the sound is what you'd expect, there aren't any major flaws in car sounds and so on.

As for it's graphics and presenation they're reasonably good, it makes the most of the DS's 3D engine and delivers some solid models.

If your a fan of racing games then Grid is a must own for your DS, however if your not a big fan of racers, like me, then It would probably not be a first choice of game but certainly worth looking into if found at the right price
