Beautiful Graphics, Horrible Game

I've been a racing game fan for many years. I spent countless hours with games like Gran Turismo, Ridge Racer, and Need for Speed.
Before I say anything else, I must say this is a review of the PC version of the game. Playing this game with the keyboard is incredibly frustrating, therefore I used My Xbox controller.
This game is painful. It's incredibly easy to crash, even when going on a straight road, the minimum touch of the arrow keys, or the analog stick sends you into a wall, or an opponent's car. The controls feel sluggish and don't respond properly, you either steer to much, or not enough. You can try playing around with the advanced options, but that doesn't make much of a difference.
It's supposed to be a driving simulation game, but it's not realistic at all.
I don't know if the console versions of this game suffer from the same, but for the PC, this game has no joystick sensibility support. You can use a joystick, but it responds the same as if you used arrow keys. The in game menus are also frustrating. you can race with a controller, but you can't surf the menus with it. So you have to constantly switch between keyboard and controller. It seems they just copy the console versions and pasted them on the PC.
Not all is bad in this game. It looks gorgeous... It also has a lot of cool elements. Your car suffers damage, and there is a guy that talks to you during the race giving you information about what's going on, telling you if you have somebody on your tail, and keeping you with how far you are from the first place and such.
This game could have been really great, but unfortunately sloppy game play makes it frustrating and hard to enjoy
