GTA II

User Rating: 8.5 | Grand Theft Auto 2 PS
1999 who knew that in two years time after the realease of GTA II we would of had GTA III, a massive technological success.

GTA II was different than the GTA we know today. Still following in its predecesors footsteps of birdseye view cameras theres something new about it.

GTA II is set slightly more in the future and you are in the shoes of Claude Speed (Apparently the character for GTA III) who is working for various gangs in the city of Paradise.

The game takes on a kind of Mercenaries role with its happiness towards rivals depending on the actions you took. It was the simple answer phones mission system but you had the choice this time of what gang you were going to please the most.
Take the Yakuza and the Triads for example.
If you felt like working for the Triad's missions would become open to you to complete, but doing these missions upset the Yakuza and they send out hitmen and what not to take you out. If you were walking down a street owned by the Yakuza you would be attacked in the street.
This new system added something cool to GTA as well as combining Hollywood style car chases with cops and whatnot.

Overall another GTA classic that should be played by hardcore GTA fans who were here from the start.
