Paintball is one of those entertaining adult sports that anyone would enjoy with their friends but not with LJN's shallow paintball experience on the NES.

In the game you chose from playing on either the Beginner game, Intermediate game or the expert game. These determine the accuracy and speed the enemies that it would take for the enemy to shoot you. Your basic goal in the game is too shoot the enemies that appear on the screen but however you'll need to take the enemy's flag and deliver it back to your base in order to win and advance to the next stage. Enemies can appear from either on the side or they can appear from the trees and rooftops and crouch to sniper you. Sadly your paintball experience falls short because there are only 3 levels to play through and when you beat all 3 of them the game just repeats over and over again tell either you run out of lives, run out of time or allowing the opposing team to steal your flag. Whenever you beat a level but lost a life you'll get your life's back ready for the next level which does at least give you a decent chance if you're playing on harder settings. But even so all that needs to be said about his game is that this game can get really boring after only a few minutes of playing this game.

When playing you use the Zapper to shoot on screen enemies and also using the controller to move your character sideways instead of the on rails format. This idea is solid but however unless you got another person with you holding both controllers can feel uncomfortable for moving and shooting. Bottom-line the games controls feel uncomfortable for this kind of game and the games to short and lacks any variety to hold your interest.

The scenery in the game doesn't look too bad but some of the character sprites look forgettable. When you shoot an enemy their guns fly off their hands which can be quite amusing to watch. Most of music just loops over and over again making them rather ridiculous to listen too.

You should enter in a real paintball compilation instead of actually playing this game. With it's short length and very little variety you won't enjoy much paintball experience that this game offers.

The Pros:
1. It's amusing to see enemy's guns fly off their hands.

The Bads:
1. Using both the gun and the controller together can feel uncomfortable unless you have another person with you
2. The game lacks any variety of levels and they keep recycling levels over and over
3. It's just plan boring that you'll most likely be bored later on
