This is easily one of the greatest shooter games ever.

User Rating: 9.9 | GoldenEye 007 N64
The James Bond movies are movies that many people just love. There is action, suspence and adventure in these movies. One of the best 007 movies is Goldeneye, which is the movie that this Nintendo 64 game is based on.

Many people just thought this was one of the best video games ever made! It had great graphics, lots of levels, many weapon types, lots of action and cool sound effects. I can easily recommend this game to anyone, who is a fan of 007, or just First-Person Shooter games in general, so long as you have a Nintendo 64.

I'll start off with the single player campaign. It is a series of levels and areas from the Goldeneye movie, with some new environments on the way. You will meet heroes, villains and many other people. You must beat each level, until you get to the final level, and the final Goldeneye faceoff. This is just a brilliant campaign. It has enough levels to keep you entertained for a while, and many levels are fun enough to even play again. When you beat the game in different ways, there are different unlockables, but those are for you to find out! This long campaign and unlockables add an enormous amount of value to the game.

There is also a two/three/four player splitscreen mode. There are a large amount of characters available here. After you beat the game, you can even unlock special troops to make your own, but not as exciting or random, storyline of your own. You will love this mode as much as I did if you've got the friends!

Now what can worry some gamers about some games, is the learning curve. If you've got to take a long time to learn the game thoroughly, then the game is just too hard to muster. However, this is a simple shoot-em-up, and it has a very quick learning curve. Now the only thing to learn is decision making. Should you run through the area shooting everyone you can with a machine gun, or would you rather stealthily snipe them all? It's all your choice.

Speaking of weapons, there are so many different types of weapons in this game. There is no way I can list them all right here. Most of the different opponent types have different weapons, as well as others, and even some hidden ones! This has an incredible replay value to it!

As far as value goes, it isn't perfect once the love for the game eventually rubs off, but this is definetly worth your money! Even though value isn't at a ten, it is still entirely worth the money!

Now I will move on to the basics: Gameplay, Graphics and Sound.

The Gameplay is very simple: shoot, kill and explore. Though it is very simple, it is still a very fun game and its gameplay is excellent. It is fun, easy to learn, fun to play again and easy to not get bored of. And it simulates the movie so well, and makes it fun for the player!

The Graphics are just incredible. There is so much detail in the weapons, people, levels, and in many other things. The 3D objects are just incredible! Even just looking at a planted mine shows so much detail, and the characters look so similar to them in the movie, which can drive the craziest graphic fan into a really happy gamer. And the explosions, smoke and costumes are also so well done.

And the sound is just incredible. The soundtracks are catchy and easy to remember. I haven't played this game in a while, but I could still remember the Facility and Cradle theme musics off by heart! The sound of the gunshots sound surprisingly realistic for its time, and are delightful to listen to! And the sound of a mine going off in a room full of gas tanks is just so great to look and hear. However, this game lacks one component in sound: voicing. They do show subtitles, but I was indeed disappointed with the fact that there is no voice acting. If there was voice acting, even the slighest voice sound, this game's sound would have gotten a 10!

Overall, this is one great First-Person Shooter game! If you've got a Nintendo 64, you must have this game! It is one of the best Nintendo 64 games out there (beaten by Ocarina of Time. I haven't tried Perfect Dark, but I heard it is supposed to be even better!). Anyways, this is a must have, no matter who you are!
