Brosnan. Pierce Brosnan.

User Rating: 8.7 | GoldenEye 007 N64
This was the game for N64, kind of like Halo was for XBOX. I didn't really hear a lot of good things about the 64 until this game was released, then everyone was loving it and the people who think PC gaming was finished had some more ammunition for their claims. True, this game outshone most if not all of the PC games in many aspects. I don't know one person who didn't like 007. Goldeneye was the first 007 I ever saw, and in my mind Pierce Brosnan was the best 007. It was a great movie but nothing really came of it, no one was raving about it and such. I think this game has done it justice. Even though I didn't like the controls, I found the ability to play as 007 hard to resist, and the graphics...oh yes, the graphics are top notch for its time. An excellent FPS with good weapons and sound FX. The soundtrack is immortal and contributed to the game. Whenever I recall my Goldeneye days, I still remember most of the score. The AI was sometimes fun to watch, and the storyline was there to follow the movie, very nice. After the single player mode there was the multiplayer, where the screen was chopped up into respective player amounts. Unless you had a very big TV, I disliked that multiplayer in that since you can't see well, it takes the fun out of it. 3 players sucked because that meant one square was black, just taking up room and making everyone else suffer. However that didn't stop kids from going over to each other's homes to play this, it paved the way for future multiplayer console games.
