Good ship combat, but game lacks survivability in the long term. Still enjoyable, still Star Trek.
The ship combat/missions is a saving feature of this game. The combat system brings something new to the genre. Ground combat/missions are similar to other RPGs and MMORPGs that are out there. But with the big difference... Read Full Review

I've spent the time to get to Rear Admiral, and I'd figure everyone needed some input or a short review.
Star Trek Online has some serious potential. So much is being done, the patches are rolling in at a fast rate, and there is a big patch coming soon. This game itself is better then a lot of other games were off the bri... Read Full Review

It's obvious that this game was just shipped before it was completely finished; its a good foundation of whats to come.
Anybody that comes to this game half expecting it to suck is going to be endulged soon enough. Yes, the Federation side has loads of PVE missions while the Klingon side seems to only have PVP missions. But of the mission... Read Full Review

A Great Experience that Improves with Every Patch
This game has received lots of negative press and mostly for its content, which is there but still needs development; however, if you're not a person that can play 10 hours every day and can only get it in after your rea... Read Full Review

I love star trek, but I don't know what this game is.
I had high hopes for this game, but I suppose that just mean I had a longer distance to fall. The space combat is boring. boring. boring. You fly around in your little ship blasting away at spaceships for what seems like... Read Full Review

Sadly, not what I excepted.
Sadly, not what I excepted. The iPhone has better games and that's saying something. I excepted a fully flushed out game with both ground and space missions. Again if i wanted a space sim I would have played EVE online. ... Read Full Review

Boredly go where countless other MMORPGs have gone before but did it better!
This game could have been a wonderous adventure. But what we have is a laggy bugfest that even at it's best is barely enough to engage the player. It captures little to none of the star trek magic, and the gameplay gets ... Read Full Review

StarTrek Online is Finally Here! STO improvements are already happening! Show me being ENTERTAINED!
I played STO in closed beta, open beta, headstart and Im still playing it. Those people that say that STO has a lot of potential they are correct it does. New content has already been added (additional Borg) and t... Read Full Review

Very fun game for casual players without extreme expectations
I've trusted Gamespot for while and I'm absolutely perplexed by a 5.5 for this game. It's not an amazing game and it's not complete.. I understand that. The ground system does have its problem and there are some other pr... Read Full Review

Ok for a very short time which is bad for an MMO
Not much that has not already been said but let me echo a few of the common threads here 1.Space Battles They do give some of the feel of Star Trek, a position war to wear down your opponents shields so you can tor... Read Full Review
