Good Graphics, but not Star Trek. This is a Space fighter Wearing a Star Trek Insignia.
When I first started playing I was exited, The ships looked spot on, the character customization was breathtaking and the game community was immense. But the honeymoon was over sooner than with Most MMO's. The Game does ... Read Full Review

STO does indeed suck - but somehow that's not stopping me from enjoying the hell out of it.
I guess you could say I went into it with my eyes wide open. I consider myself a syndicated trekker having grown up in the 70's. I know TOS inside and out. I'm a casual NG fan having seen about half the episodes, I on... Read Full Review

Underappreciated, very much a Trekkies dream..
It's a strange game to be fair, from a shallow observation you would note that the ground combat is bloody awful, and this is a real drawback, but for the space combat makes up for this. The graphics are the best i hav... Read Full Review

Phasers on Stun: Star Trek Online Misses the Mark
Being a fan of Star Trek going back to the original series and Captain James Tiberius Kirk, it was only natural for me to want to jump into the immersive MMORPG experience promised by Cryptic in the form of their new Sta... Read Full Review

what if they would actually do either a single player game or a better mmo?
Honestly this game has mixed feelings....the limitations of the gameplay are evident ; especially in the exploration section. The combat is so-so; with some fights that can be won just stopping the ship at the maximum... Read Full Review

Really, REALLY want to love this. But alas it's typical of games from Cryptic. Button mashing boredom. Not 'Trek'.
As I said above, boring. Only thing to keep you is seeing a new ship, but otherwise grind, grind, Grind some more,,, & not even entertaining grinding at that..... Good artwork & space battles not a total waste. But tha... Read Full Review

An underappreciated game that has huge potential!
Even before the game was released massive amounts of bad press was flying all over the place. I have had the feeling that it is possibly a generational rift because of the Star Trek genre that is probably considered unc... Read Full Review

Good ship graphics and visually appealing space battles but falls short everywhere else.
Ship graphics and battles are visually appealing but the battles are monotonous. Ground combat hitches constantly which hurts the playability. Almost no quests for the Klingon side and the Federation quests are highly ... Read Full Review

Much like Star Trek Enterprise, STO is a passable game on its own right, but fails at being good Star Trek
I've never played MMOs before. Star Trek Online is my introduction to Massive Multiplayer Online RPGs. I've played some online games. Metal Gear Online, Madden, Rock Band, Civilization. But never a true MMO. As such, I a... Read Full Review

Lots of fun in the Star Trek universe
I first tried this using a Del Taco trial code. After seeing all the back and forth reviews I wanted to see for myself how it was before putting any money into it. I wasn't disappointed at all! It is a lot of fun with a ... Read Full Review
