Unlock The Ooze and Comix Zone games
Have a Sonic Heroes completed game save file on your Xbox hard drive. When you start the Sonic Mega Collection Plus game up, you will have Comix Zone and The Ooze unlocked from the start!!

Unlock Flicky
Play Mean Bean Machine at least 30 times to unlock Flicky. You can just enter the game and exit as soon as it loads up. After the 30th time, exit to the title screen and enter the games menu again.

Unlock Blue Sphere game
Play Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic 3D Blast 20 times each, exit to the title screen and then go back into the game select screen and Blue Sphere will now be unlocked.

Unlock Hints
To unlock the Hints text for each game, keep it open for three hours. You don't have to play the game, just let it run. After three hours, exit out, and when you reenter the game, or check the Hints menu in the Options area, that game's hints will be available.

Sonic 2 & Knuckles Level Select, Debug Mode, All Chaos Emeralds
At the main menu press Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right. You should hear a ring chime. Hold X and press start to access the Level Select menu.
At the Level Select menu go to the sound test option and play the following tracks in this order: 01 09 09 04 01 00 01 08. At the last tune/sound effect you should hear a ring chime which enables Debug mode. Holding X when selecting a level will allow you to change in and out of objects from the level by pressing the A button, changing objects by pressing the B button, and making a copy of the current object by pressing the X button. You can also reset the game by pausing and pressing X.Also at the Level Select menu play the following tracks in this order: 01 06 07 07 07 02 01 06. You should hear the emerald chime which means you now have all the chaos emeralds. Alternatively, you could just select the special stage from the Level Select menu and keep playing them untill you get them all.Contributed by: maverick2002

Alternate way to unlock Comix Zone
Play and exit all non-gamegear games 50 times each, exit to the title screen and then go back into the game select screen and Comix Zone will now be unlocked.

At the Title Screen, press the Start Button. On the "How to play" screen, Hold the following buttons: Up + X Button + B Button and press the Start Button.

Change Tails' name to Miles in Sonic 2
At the title screen menu, press up, down, down, down, up, and you will hear a ring tone. Now the character select and the lives counter will say Miles instead of Tails!

Sonic 3 and Knuckles/Sonic and Knuckles Extra Stage + Alternate Endings

To play stage 14 in Sonic 3 and Knuckles, play through the game with Sonic and collect all of the chaos emeralds. When you get to the Death Egg Zone (stage 13), you'll have to fight Dr. Robotnik in what appears to be the last battle when he's in a giant robot. However, if you have all of the chaos emeralds, the fight will continue as Sonic changes into Super Sonic. The game mechanics are changed for this short stage, but it brings the final conclusion to the Sonic series. (This code also works for Sonic and Knuckles without Sonic 3, except the stage numbers will be different).
Beat Sonic and Knuckles with Sonic, you'll get 1 ending, beat it with Knuckles, you'll get another. Play Sonic 3 and Knuckles and beat it with Tails, you'll get another. Beat the game using Sonic with all chaos emeralds, you'll get another ending; same when you beat the game with Knuckles with all chaos emeralds. Beat Sonic 3 and Knuckles with Sonic with all of the super endings, you'll get a slightly altered ending to the ending while beating the game with all the chaos emeralds; same with knuckles with all of the super emeralds.Contributed by: NWalterstorf

Sonic 3 & Knuckles Level Select and Debug Mode
In Angel Island, continue through the level untill you come to the swinging vines near the bonus stage ring and jump up and grab one. While swinging press Left, Left, Left, Right, Right, Right, Up, Up, Up. You should hear a ring chime. Now pause the game and press X to return to the main menu. There should be a new option, Sound Test. Select it and you will enter the sound test/stage select menu. In here select Mushroom Hill Zone and play through the stage untill you come to the ratchet machine. Jump up and hang from it then press Left, Left, Left, Right, Right, Right, Up, Up, Up. Now pause and press X again to reset. Go back to the level select menu and select any level while holding X and you can now use debug mode which allows you to change in and out of objects from the current level by pressing A, change the current object by pressing B, and make a copy of the current object by pressing X. Also you can reset the game any time by pausing and pressing X.

Debug Mode for Sonic 2 (Genisis)
After entering the Level Select screen, go to the sound test option. Here, play the songs 1,9,9,2,1,1,2,4 in that order. Hold Square and select your stage. You will know you have done it correctly when the score portion of the screen is turned into a sort of matrix. The square, X, and circle buttons on the controller turn Sonic into objects found in the game and set them on the zone template. This is especially useful when using the Super Sonic cheat. You can enable infinite rings with this cheat.

Debug Mode in Sonic 1
At the title screen when Sonic is wagging his finger, press Up-C-Down-C-Left-C-Right. Press Start and then hold A until Sonic appears. There should be hex code where your score should be, and the time should have nothing to do with your elapsed act time.
Press B while playing to switch into debug placement mode. Then, press A to switch between sprites or C to place the sprite. Then, press B again to go back to playing as Sonic. Repeat.Contributed by: Houston_dude

During the time it takes for Sonic to load in the beginning, press 'up, up, down, down, up, up, up, up' on the D-Pad. (Note: This is hard to do, but you'll get it right eventually.) There are seven extra games originally released on the Genesis/Mega Drive to unlock. Please note that for the unlockable that require other games to be started a certain amount of times, this does not have to be done in one sitting; the amount of times a game is started is saved.
Unlockable Have Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic 3D Blast be started 20 times each. Blue Sphere Startup every other Genesis/Mega Drive game 50 times. Alternatively, have a save file of Sonic Heroes present on a connected Memory Card. Comix Zone Start Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine 30 times. Flicky Have Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic Spinball be started 20 times each.
