Pokemon Ruby Version Cheats For Game Boy Advance

  1. The day care center trick

when you put a pokemon in a day care center, each step you take equals one exp. point. if you want to level up a pokemon faster while it is in the center, you must first obtain the acro bike from rydel. then fly over to lavaridge town and bike all the way right until you reach the desert. bike over to the mudslide and face it. now here is the tricky part, find a way to hold down the UP button on your gameboy. leave it on overnight, and your set. this may not work as well for people without an sp.

  2. Get unlimited time in the Safari zone!

It's really simple. All you have to do is to bring a Pokemon that knows Sweet Scent and use it over and over again. You can attract as much Pokemon as you want without wasting steps.

    Contributed by: Chaos Control

  3. Avoid wild Pokemon!

Now, you can use CUT to hack away grass that wild Pokemon live in. You can save money not buying repels and can travel without being interrupted by wild Pokemon

    Contributed by: Chaos Control

  4. Get Corsola Without Fishing

You can get Corsola without fishing. In order to get Corsola you need a Bellosom( Evolve Gloom with sun stone ) and you need to go to Pacifidlog Town and talk to the lady in one of the houses and she will trade you a Corsola for a Bellosom.

  5. Shiny Pokemon

Every time you encounter a pokemon you have a 1/8192 chance of the pokemon being a different color, this is called a shiny pokemon

  6. Unlimited Time in Safari Zone

If you have the Acro Bike equipped, get on it while you're in the Safari zone. If you hop up and down in one spot of grass, you can run into Pokemon without using up steps.

    Contributed by: Yoni

  7. Fully Heal Pokemon without a Poke Center

If you deposit a pokemon in a box and then pull it out, it is completely healed. This is useful for places like the Day-Care center that do not have a heal station. There are a few other places in which there are PC's but no heal station.

  8. Free Premier Balls

If you go to the department store in Lilycove City, and go to the counter where you can buy poke balls, you can get 1 free premier ball for every 10 poke balls you buy (they have to be poke balls, not great balls or ultra balls). Premier Balls are just like poke balls but are all white with red rims.

  9. Capture Trainer Pokemon

For this glitch to work, you need to have not caught the Latios (Sapphire) or Latias (Ruby) roaming in Hoenn. (Note that this glitch means that, on this file, you cannot capture that Pokemon without trading.) Enter a trainer battle of some sort; this Trainer must have the Pokemon you wish to catch, exactly as that Pokemon is. You can, for example, enter Battle Tower battles to obtain a quick Level 100 Pokemon. (Note that non-Battle Tower Pokemon may turn into Bad Eggs!) Lose to the trainer and then proceed to beat Latios or Latias without having any battles - wild or Trainer - in-between. You MUST make the Latios or Latias faint in that one encounter, without catching them or them escaping. Repels are useful to circumvent wild battles, and Mean Look and Shadow Tag to prevent Latios/Latias from leaving.

After beating Latios/Latias, Pokemon #2-#6 of the previous Trainer's party will be used right after that, as if the Latios/Latias were their first Pokemon. These Pokemon will fight, however, as wild, roaming Pokemon do and thus are capable of escaping like Latios/Latias are. Still, you are nonetheless able to capture them as your own. The battle ends with the first Pokemon you catch, so if you want to catch a different Pokemon in the opponent's party, you'll have to defeat the others until you reach it; this can make for some easy EXP. as well.

Strangely, if you have a Pokemon with max Smart stat in the Japanese versions and speak with the man, you will get a Green Scarf, and if you do it again you'll also get a Yellow Scarf - regardless of the Pokemon's Tough stat!

  19. Mirage Island

Mirage Island is an invisble Island located on Route 130. Most of the time it will be invisible but on rare cases, the island will be visible. To find out if the island is there or not, go to Pacifidlog Town and talk to the old man in the bottom right house looking out the window. He will tell you wheter the island is there or not. The cause is unknown so a bit of luck is needed to find it. On the island you will find the rare Leichi Berry that powers up your Pokemon's attack in battle when it gets weak. In the grass, you will only find Wild Wynauts.

  20. Cut's Out of Battle effect

Have a Pokemon use CUT to remove grass where wild Pokemon live. It will remove the chance of encountering wild Pokemon. The grass will regrow once you leave the area or enter a building.

  21. Inherit Pokemon Natures through breeding.

Once you receive and hatch the eggs, the offspring will have a 50% chance of inheriting the Nature from the Pokemon holding the Everstone.

  22. Pomeg Berry Glitch

For this glitch to work properly, you must have a Pomeg Berry and a Pokemon who has not had their HP lowered as much as possible already through Pomeg Berries. (If the latter is the case, the use of HP Ups on the Pokemon will suffice.) Get the Pokemon to a severely low level of HP (1 or 2 HP). Once you do so, in the field, use the Pomeg Berry on the Pokemon. This will in turn cause the data in their HP to cycle back to the top of the counter, giving the affected Pokemon 65,535 HP - over 90 times the otherwise possible maximum in the game.

    Contributed by: Anonymous

  23. Level Up Unhatched Pokemon

To do this glitch, you must first execute the Pomeg Berry Glitch, which is done by using a Pomeg Berry on a Pokemon with 1 or 2 HP so that its HP loops to 65,535 (displayed as ?35 in-game). Do so, however, with only one Pokemon and an Egg in the party, with the Egg in the top-leftmost slot of the party in the Pokemon menu. After executing the glitch, you will now be able to enter battles and use the Pokemon Egg as if it were a normal Pokemon. It will function as a normal Pokemon - you can view the stats it will have upon hatching, it can level-up by beating Pokemon, it can learn new moves, it can even evolve. This means that you can alter the Pokemon inside the Egg in otherwise-illegitimate ways. For example. Pikachu cannot normally know Thunder when hatching from an Egg at Level 5; through this glitch, Pikachu can. Similarly, you can hatch Eggs with fully-evolved Pokemon such as Typhlosion, Meganium, and so on, inside.

  24. Berry Glitch Fix (for Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire)

For this, you'll need two GBA consoles, a link cable, any one of Pokemon Emerald, FireRed, or LeafGreen Versions, and a Pokemon Ruby or Sapphire cartridge. Start up Pokemon Emerald, FireRed, or LeafGreen, and hold B+Select on the title screen. Connect this console to the other containing the Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire cartridge, and follow the directions given to you by the game. This allows you to download a fix to a glitch in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire that starts near the end of every year and affects time-based events; most prominently, the growing of Berries.

  25. Safely Clone Pokemon

With the Pokemon you wish to clone in your party, go to the Battle Frontier and into the Battle Tower. Go to the PC, and deposit the Pokemon you wish to clone. Save the game, and withdraw them from the PC.

Talk to the rightmost receptionist (the one for link battles) and try to start a challenge. At some point, you will be prompted to save: a box with your file data (name, play time, Pokedex, etc.) will appear, as well as a yes/no prompt.

Instead of saving, just power on/off the console or reset it (depending on what you're playing on). When you reload your file, you'll notice you have the Pokemon in your party, but those that were in your PC earlier are still there too! You've now cloned those Pokemon!
