    While at any character variation select screen, press up twice and hit triangle to play as your character with no variation.

    If you have Triborg, select him. Then quickly press up 2 times, then press triangle. Triborg should turn blue, hinting at the Cyber Sub-Zero variation being selected.

  1. Triborg's "Cyber Sub-Zero" variation

    On the character select screen, once you have chosen Triborg and are on his variation select screen (the one which let's you choose from the Smoke, Cyrax, or Sektor variations), press Up twice and the Y button on your controller. If done correctly, you should see three question marks on this screen (???) On the stage, you should see it read t the top of the screen under your health "Cyber Sub-Zero" variation. Enjoy.

  1. Play as Cyber Sub-Zero

    Select Tri-Borg from the character select screen, once done on the variation screen press up, up, Triangle. Now you can play as Cyber Sub-Zero.

  2. Play with No Variation

    When selecting any character's variation, press Up, Up, and then Triangle. Then press X or Start. You will play with no variation and won't have exclusive moves from different variations, however.
