Not worth 50 bucks or even 20 bucks. Poor song choices and not many of them.
The idea of an 80's themed Guitar Hero is a great one. Unfortunately several things went wrong in this game. 1. There's a split between "hairmetal" tracks and New Wave tracks that is unlikely to please anyone buyin... Read Full Review

Now i was born in 1991 so i don''t know much about the 80's songs so my review is more based on gameplay and the songs as they appeared in the game and my initial impressions to them. Guitar hero Encore: Rocks the 80'... Read Full Review

If you've never been able to get used to that 5th button buy it now!
This is by far the worse edition. Its only got 30 tracks & is way too expensive. Also the tracklist is the worse of all GH games & shows why they shouldnt restrict it to the 80's. Although this is personal preference & s... Read Full Review

Did I just pay $50 for THIS!?!?
Holy cow. I was super excited for GH2E:RtE to come out. How could a game with Holy Diver in it be bad? Well Activision found a way to make it bad. First off there's the presentation. The only venue that even remotely... Read Full Review

Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s might not have the best soundtrack in the series, but has a fun one.
Rocks the 80s might not be everyone's cup of black coffee..uh...yeah, but for anyone who loves Guitar Hero should give this game a rent. It's fun for a week, and then you could return it or just throw it in the pile of d... Read Full Review

Before you read my review I just want to let you know that this is my first Guitar Hero game and that I'm not a Rock fan
I played several rhythm games such as PaRappa the Rapper, Donkey Konga, and Elite Beat Agents, but none of them reached the fun and enjoyment of playing a Guitar Hero game. At first if you are new to Guitar Hero you bett... Read Full Review

A game that grows on you!
I have to admit that on the first evening of my purchase of this game, I was extremely disapointed. Being a fan of the 80's I was expecting bigger hits than what was included in this edition of Guitar Hero. I like pla... Read Full Review

I smell cash-in, must be Guitar Hero Encore...
Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80's is just one of those games that you know is a quick cash-in. The most obvious thing about GHE that makes it a cash-in is the fact that almost nothing is different from GH2, the only dif... Read Full Review
