Recommend renting if your not a fan of Alice inspired fiction. Battles are fun, exploring becomes addicting overall okay
I decided to rent this game since I never got the chance to play through the first Alice game on the PC. The fact that this game feeds heavily off its predecessor is fairly annoying. Characters converse with Alice as if ... Read Full Review

Don't get Mad in the Alice's Wonderland. Amaging horror artwork together with eerie music over the McGee sequel.
Following in the footsteps of last year's Dante's Inferno, Alice: Madness Returns is a dark and mature, yet loose retelling of the classic Alice literature by Lewis Carroll. Being a sequel, the game takes place ten yea... Read Full Review

Alice: The Madness Returns does a lot right, but it ultimately falls victim to its own insecurities.
Alice: The Madness Returns is a schizophrenic game, but that isn't due solely to the title's deeply disturbed anti-heroine. It's almost as if the developers felt self-conscious about the often unique and engaging experi... Read Full Review

An enjoyable and solid experience, IF you can overlook the repetitiveness and some minor graphical/audio glitches.
Alice: Madness Returns is a mixed bag; on one hand, it hooks you with its very eerie and dark atmosphere, and the suspenseful storyline will keep you interested throughout the entire game. On the other hand, the gameplay... Read Full Review

Savor the visual details in this game while playing. Extraordinary imagination and creativity.
I don't agree with Gamespot's 7.0 rating. I think the user score of 8.4 is closer to reality. First off, Gamespot deducted points because the PC version doesn't include the 10-year old original Alice game! What othe... Read Full Review

Ten years after the incredible American McGee`s Alice, Alice is back again in a new adventure. While it offers some great gameplay mechanics and amazing art direction, the levels are way too long, making the developers f... Read Full Review

Wonderland is back, but not quite as we know it, for this bizarre and brilliant look into Alice's mind.
I've played a lot of games on my Xbox, over 150 different games in fact, and never have I played a game as messed up and bizarre as Alice: Madness Returns. This, however, is not a complaint, as I thoroughly enjoyed my pl... Read Full Review

The art, the sound, the level design, and the story development are all excellent. Definitely underated by gamespot.

Twisted, strange, and insane fun.
A great game with a good story. The only disappointment is that the cutscenes are motion paper puppets. While that may seem interesting for the first few scenes, it loses its appeal fairly fast. The game is still great t... Read Full Review
