Probably CODMW2, I loved the single player even though it was short, still think the first ones was better, but after I beat it on veteran, I was done, I hate the online so much so I dont play it any more

Sonic the Hedgehog a.k.a. "Sonic 06". I was going to buy Oblivion when I first purchased my 360 back in 2006 but I wanted a game that I could also enjoy watching my siblings play. Needless to say that after getting Oblivion said siblings enjoyed that far and away more than the turd known as Sonic 06.
Alone in the dark. Paid the full $60 for it. Now I can't sell it on ebay for $10. That was the last time I bought a game without trying a demo/prequel/sequel (MW2 made me rethink the prequel/sequel option).

Well, I say rental because there is no demo available for someone to try the game out. I really don't think watching the trailers or someone on Youtube playing it really gives you enough indication of whether or not this game will be your cup of tea.
I have not finished the game, so some people will say I shouldn't make a judgement on it yet. But the truth is I don't know if I can bring myself to complete it. All I know is that when I'm playing a game I really enjoy, I can't hardly put it down.
TES IV: Oblivion. I thought I would like it based on reviews, but I learned that I just don't care for open-world medieval fantasy games. Still, I could tell the game was very good if you're into that kind of thing.
Modern Warfare 2. I was hoping that frequent splitscreen and online parties with friends would make the game more enjoyable, but it still got stale and repetitive within a few weeks. I even managed to find this for $40 at a special (COD games take FOREVER to drop in price) and I still didn't feel like it was justified. I actually got lazy and broke my No-Games-On-Demand pledge and bought the first Bad Company for $20 (what I would've paid on Amazon, anyways) and it was actually a much better experience.
Fable 2. Beat it 3 times, out of boredom. It was way too short and didn't have enough substance, especially for an RPG. Although now they're calling it an Action/Adventure which makes more sense, but doesn't help that it was really short.
Mw2 Spec ops wasnt bad at all but that was the best thing in the damn game IMO, campaign wasnt near as good as cod4s and the mp....the complaints would fill 4 pages :P
Mass Effect was horrible. Bought it cause I like some sci fi kinda stuff like Star Wars and Halo but Mass Effect was just so boring and the characters were lame and I couldn't get into the gameplay.
Mine was actually Gears of War 2. I only played the 1st one a little bit and thought id love the 2nd but just never really got into it. I beat it and just was not impressed. Even on a 2nd try through it I couldnt really get into it. At least I tried.
Demon's Souls. It's not that it's a bad game. It's actually quite fun when you're owning mobs.. but when you get one-shotted and you have to start over, it makes me not want to play any more. Oddly, it doesn't make me angry at all. I just keep playing and playing but eventually, I just give up. I'm just not that good of a hardcore gamer to play Demon's Souls. I can't even kill the "Red Eye Knight." For me, I wonder why I bought it because obviously, I wasn't going to be able to "win" in this game. I have to say, beautiful animations in Demon's Souls.
