Dante's Inferno. I just haven't been impressed with what I've seen so far. Also Alan Wake didn't impress me from the E3 stuff AT ALL and for as long as people have been waiting for this game, I'm just pessimistic about it.
If mw2 is just cool sp missions but the same mp ill be disappointed, thats why ill wait a bit and just get it next year or so depending on the veredict.
Yeah I'll go with Bioshock 2. They delayed it because they were about to release and unfinished product D: OMG that would've been catastrophic to the gaming community XD
Assassin's Creed 2. it has failure written all over it. I mean E3 showed us the exact same game with different actions to kill people. A flying machine. and an enemy that actually pokes his sword in the haystacks this time. I mean if that isn't flop I don't know what else could be. But lots of people are looking forward to it and think they have actually fixed something. It is Assassin's Creed 1 all over again, only in Italy (not France). except it's in Italy but i see your point. who knows..? they could pull it off! Good point. I was still going off the information from all those rumors back when I cared. The E3 demos pretty much killed any interest in the game.

Can't say that i was dissapointed about that. It doesn't have to be new .. if you can enjoy it's a good game. Too many games have innovated themselves into the ground.

Can't say that i was dissapointed about that. It doesn't have to be new .. if you can enjoy it's a good game. Too many games have innovated themselves into the ground. But from what I have played in the first there was already too much of 'the same'. So this would be more of more of the same... Of course there are the people that don't mind... but people thinking this is going to be AC1 only without so much repetition are in for a hard landing without a haystack this time.
Max Payne 3. It will NOT live up to the previous two games. Too many changes (including his appearance, multiplayer, new location, etc...) have already made Max Payne fans feel uneasy about this new game. Sam Lake, the writer for the other two Max Payne games, will not be writing this one. In addition, Rockstar is making this game instead of Remedy. This is not a good indicator. Max Payne fans should be more excited about Max Payne 3. I just feel that there are too many changes to Max Payne 3 that it will not feel like a Max Payne game at all. New developer and new writer are also questionable. This game has letdown written all over it. Max Payne 3 could be a good game. But it won't be a good Max Payne game; if you follow my logic.
In my opinion, Splinter Cell: Conviction - Ubi's new approach seems good and all, but as a die-hard, classic Splinter Cell fan with an avid fondness for the original formula, I'm very skeptical about the changes being made to the game. I just have a gut feeling they won't be as good as I hope they'll be. Oh well; we'll all just have to wait and see. Mafia II - The first one was quite mediocre, and while the second one looks great, I do have my doubts about it. The guys behind the game seem to know what they're doing though, so hopefully I'll be positively surprised with the outcome. Modern Warfare 2 - It certainly won't be an upset, but it will more than certainly be a far cry from anything noteworthy if it ends up being what I least hope it will: being too similar to previous Call of Duty games. Brutal Legend - As a fan of the game's corresponding music genre, I am looking forward to it, but I fear that it will end up being another mediocre action game. Let's hope for the best. Batman: Arkham Asylum - Looking and shaping up to be a great action game, but given the resulting status of pretty much all of the superhero-based games released within the last two years, it would be illogical to not be skeptical about this game. Dark Void - This game also looks very promising, but I also have many doubts about it. The gameplay seems very questionable, and it will be interesting to see if the devs can actually match it's functionality to its visual appeal.

i dont understadn why people think call of duty mw2 will be a flop because it will be the same as call of duty 4, i dont really understand what they would need to change up that bad its a shooting game how much more can u change it up?

I absolutely agree that AC2 will be a dissapointment.much like the first. but Beyonetta has AWESOME written all over it. IMO i really can't wait to get to grips with that game.
This, naturally. And it wont even be because it's bad. It's just that there are so many people that have played CoD4 so much that there will be those who wont accept any of the changes in Modern Warfare 2 no matter what they are. And the game's going to receive a ton of hype which is the bane of the gaming community for some reason.
Modern Warfare 2 - It's not that this game will be a big disappointment, but Call of Duty 4 is just too good for anything to live up to. I skipped over WaW simply because I didn't want to be dried out over so much Call of Duty. WaW felt too similar to CoD 4 and I'm betting Modern Warfare 2 will too. Infinity Ward is in a unique position: change too much and fans complain or change too little and fans complain. The Call of Duty franchise has just become too much of a multiplayer staple.

Arkham Asylum has been getting a lot of publicity and is been hyped up to be the best superhero game of all time. It wouldn't surprise me to see it be a disappointment, I hope not though it certainly has the promise to be a fantastic game. Also Left 4 Dead 2 coming out so soon after the original means it will have to do a lot to distinguish itself and not appear to be a cash in

Mass Effect 2 is going to be great. Brutal Legend looks like it's not going to be anything great and I don't like Jack Black more or less at all (he was good in Kung Fu Panda, I think because I didn't have to see him).
I've really liked every Tim Shcaffer game I've played, and I love heavy metal, so I thinkBrutal Legend could be the best game of 2009.
I don't play Halo or Modern warfare so I can't speak on them.
If I had to pick a game that I want to play but also think might be a flop, I'd go with the Sabateur. It could wind up being cool, or it could wind up being a bad GTA4 clone. I'm not sure yet.
