I knew the update was going to happen, although i didn't know it was for no particular 'new feature' :( Oh well, hopefully my Xbox live service will be better :)
This is kinda a buzz kill because I had a 1/2 day of school today and it was rainy and just overall a long boring day. Good thing I only have another 3hrs of school tomorrow and then I am done!
It seems that ALL of Live is down... By "all" I mean that the GFW-Live and the Zune services (including Marketplace) and their websites are also down as well. Any new features on those?

All the new features will be added. You'll start up your Xbox tomorrow, and after a brief download, Milo will be your new dashboard. You'll just tell him, "Hey kid, go get me Gladiator off Netflix and start it up," or "Hey kid, find out who's got an open game of Team Fortress and join it," and he'll do it. It'll be sweet.

As of right now, they have made a BIG leap guys!!! They got the xbox homepage to say (Xbox.com and the Xbox LIVE service are currently down for maintenance.) in maybe 10 different languages!!! Great work microsoft!!! Lol, well anyway, anyone know when the servers will truly be back online, there is maybe 4 hours to the preschedualed deadline, so im just wondering, has anyone heard any updates through the grape-vine or somewhere else? Man, and I was off today. SMH...after working the weekend + Monday I thought I would get at least a few hours in. I thought wrong, I guess I'll just play a Ninja Turtles until I get tired. Or just play my PS3 I guess.
Looks like its not just xbox, its all of microsoft software i.e. zune as well. microsoft is in lockdown mode. just hope one mantience isn't affecting all

I don't know how much longer it will take. The xbox.com website is still down. I've been playing Street Fighter IV most of the day. I'm getting pretty good with Gouken! Sheesh, Hopefully I get to get a few hours of Gears 2 in before I hit the rack.

It says it's been down since 0700 UTC and would be down for 'upto 24 hours' -- which means LIVE will be coming back up in about 2 hours. Simple maths, really.

I completely forgot about the maitenance and was freaking out about all my settings, i couldnt figure it out cos everything was set right. I thought they would atleast be able to say that maiteneance is happening instead of MTU and other problems. Im just glad im not the only one getting that msg
