I think that is how you spell it? Is it going to be a new system or a add on like the sega genesis how it had the CD? will people that have a 360 still be playing LIVE with the people that have a NATAL?

I might get it if its not to expensive, and some of the games for it get good reviews. Hopefully it comes in under $100
I'll probably wait until I see NATAL will be getting decent support and will be a decent add-on through reviews, might possibly wait for a price drop.
It will not get a price drop for a LONG time....I'll probably wait until I see NATAL will be getting decent support and will be a decent add-on through reviews, might possibly wait for a price drop.

Same here, I won't get it until there are at least 5 GREAT games for it and 5 more coming out.

It will likely be the least expensive device if you add four player support.Videogame industry analyst Michael Pachter has predicted that Microsoft's future release-date price for Project Natal will be a very affordable $50.
The Move needs four sets of two controllers = 8 controllers = EXPENSIVE.
The Wii needs three parts for a complete controller = 12 parts = 40 + 20 + 20 = $80 per controller.
The Wii is the most expensive console if you want four player gaming.
Microsoft comes in at the least expensive with the PS3 having the higher cost of ownership at least for motion controls and collectively.
as long as it works, has decent games, and is under $100 i'll prolly get it and i've heard more than once that it's gonna be right around $80. but what is kinda messed up, i think i'll be getting it more for the voice recognition/commands, camera, and those things rather than for games.
Exactly, games are just icing on the cake.as long as it works, has decent games, and is under $100 i'll prolly get it and i've heard more than once that it's gonna be right around $80. but what is kinda messed up, i think i'll be getting it more for the voice recognition/commands, camera, and those things rather than for games.

I had heard it was going to release at $80, but i cant remember where I heard that from. If it is that cheap I'll definately be picking one up, this could be the way to get my girlfriend more into gaming, I cant get her passed XBLA currently which gets kinda boring.
Don't think I need to bother, I have a Wii. And the Wii has games announced, I've heard nothing from MS about games and until I do,Natal isoff my radar.
Also, the announcment of both this, the SIXAXIS and every other motion sensing tech to come out this gen was just a knee-jerk reaction to the Wii's success. I'm not sure if they will find it as successful, especially with the market they are targetting - the same market that has (at least on the whole, and demonstrated by some of the previous posts on this thread) mostly rejected and shunned motion sensing as a 'gimmick' and not something which could be a mainstay of gaming in future. Try telling that to rumble or analogue.
Maybe Microsoft should stick to their strengths. Online, acheivements and the online community.
Yeah, you could say I'm very cynical. You'd be right.
No i'd rather stick with my controller.

i concur. i'm too lazy for new-fangled things like that. i also don't want to be jumping around like a complete gorm.
although, someone i know will probably get it, so if it turns out it's actually good, i might reconsider. but that's if it's good, as in, something i'd get significant use out of at home on my own, not just with friends or at a party like the wii.
I can't get excited about it.GrindingAxeIf you watch these 7 top Japanese developers praising the unlimited possibilities of what Natal can do, then you will be really excited: http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/25/tgs-2009-japanese-developers-love-on-project-natal/
It seems like it's inevitable. I'm not a fan of 3D and motion controllers, Natal.. but I dont think we will have a choice? =/ I hope there will be an option to toggle it off... Thinking about it makes my brain hurt.. I'm not looking forward to that day.Elian2530I'm going to make the same comment that I always do concerning Natal. People are probably getting sick of it. Natal will be an OPTIONAL ENHANCEMENT to most games with Natal support. I say most because there are sure to be the inevitable "Wii-Sports-like" titles out there which are made specifically for Natal. But our shooters and RPG's and Sports games and whatever else, will NOT REQUIRE you to use Natal. There will be some OPTIONAL uses in a lot of games. Rumor is that Natal will be supported in Ghost Recon Future Soldier. I imagine that you will use Natal to use military style arm gestures to command your squad. Again...OPTIONAL. Some Sony exec was talking about Move and Socom 4. He said specifically that the Move controls were completely optional. You didn't have to use them if you didn't want to. You could still use your controller. And I believe most games using motion controls (Natal and Move) will have this same concept. I understand that people don't want gimmicky motion controlls like a lot of Wii games. But you can't really put the Wii in the same category as Natal and Move. The 360 and PS3 aren't centered around motion controlls as the Wii is, so there's no obligation to use them or make them required because not everyone will own Natal or Move. You'll alienate a lot of 360 and PS3 owners very quickly if you force them into that situation. The developers, MS and Sony aren't that stupid. Give them some credit. I wish people would be a little bit more open minded about these devices. There could be some pretty cool experiences. But you shouldn't just shoot down the idea because of the notion that these devices will completely and uterly replace our traditional controllers. That won't happen.
I'll definitely get it. I think they could do some really cool things with Natal. I'm glad you won't have to get a silly wand to wave around and I am excited about the possibilities for developers to integrate motion control into their games, while still using a controller for much of the gameplay.
