what have u had to sacrifice to play games

because ive been playing video games ive had to quit my football team ( i got kicked out really ) and i put on 10 pounds in 2 weeks ( which i lost )

i play video games a couple times a month at the most...cars have taken over my life.

Sleep. I work about 60 hours a week, and I don't get home until 9 at night. I usually eat some supper, and then watch T.V. with the wife until about 10:30. Then I play my 360 from 10:30 until about 1:30 or 2:00. I wake up at about 7 and then I do it all again. I would probably go crazy though if I didn't play my 360 with my monotonous work schedule. I also gave up buying alot of alcohol and pot in order to buy more 360 games. lol. Xbox 360, My anti-drug. Haha

Gaming is a hobby... I didn't realise something had to be sacraficed to enjoy it. I play games frequently; usually everyday, and yet I still have a social life ect...
To me it sounds like the Topic poster is an addict (World of Warcraft anyone?).

Anyways, Ill play whenever Im bored (Which is frequent) but if my friends come over, its time to go to work, or Im going out to my girlfriends then I really dont care. My brother plays Halo alot when Im at work too.

Seriouly how do you manage to do that? How does anyone lose there social life from playing video games?

You can go out side all day, go do things and still have time in the day to play games.. I can play video games a few hours a day and still manage to play basketball everyday, chill with friends/girls..

Well like everything, it depends on how much time you spend on it. I you play like 4 hours a day ... then okay, the rest of your life might suffer. But this is not specific to video games I guess: There are people playing too much Golf, reading in their room, partying with there friends the whole night and becoming zombies during the day ...

So as long as you reasonably play, you only "sacrifice" money I guess :)
