Does it really matter? Either way, he'll still be Master Chief. It would also make sense to not show it so everyone can have their own opinion on what he looks like...
No, never, its akin to them showing a Luchadore without his/her mask. There is another video game(s) that have the similar concept, but the name escapes me. The whole make thing makes it mysterious and makes people debate about what they really look like.
well in the starry night trailer I think you saw his face as a kid, but I think you couldn't see him clearly in the dark, so there's a slight chanceLaksamanama

I voted "No". I don't want to see him without the helmet. I think its rather expected for this and i think it would just be generic. I think they need to keep his looks concealed so we can still have our own thoughts of what he looks like and actually is. :)
never ever should master chiefs face be shown, this would cause everyone to have a whole new out look on halo, and quoting bungies lead designer "showing into master chiefs personals would set the stage for immutable argue."
for everyone wanteing to know whether he's white or black, he's white, like pale white, this was said in the Halo book and the reason he's white is because he's always in his suit, so he doesn't get any sunlight
nah...but didin't they show his face in the first halo??? also it would be so funny if it ended like metroid prime and we found out it was a chickjericoY2J
I voted yes to show his face but after thinking about it I change my answer to no. I think it's cool that they leave his identity a mystery, that's part of the reason I like MC, he's anonymous.
At the end of Halo 1 he takes his mask off but you can't see his face because the camera moves. Well someone moved the camera on the PC version to see it, here it is (I know this is old to some of you, so please don't spam "old!!"):
it's kind of like reading a book; you make up your own vision of him using your imagination. And when u see the movie of the book, sometimes it ruins your fantasy image of it and you dont like it as much. Why ruin it?
in this series, yes.... I'd expect many more games in the universe (Halo Wars, Peter Jackson Halo project), their could also be a prequel, unless Bungie decides to remake Marathon (good, too)... About the Topic: I'm prety sure the book's description is an extremely pale ginger with scars on his face and absolutely no expressions...
He is obiously WHITE!!!! they can't have a black guy with that voice, it doesn't go together...not that I'm saying he shouldn't be black or yellow.....:P
If this game will end the franchise then yes. It should heppen at the end in the ending cut scene. It would be a great finish that would make everyone hold there breat. But that few seconds of him taking off the helmet would be killers.
I would love to see his face, Bungie would probably do a great job at creating a face for him. There should also be an unlockable easter egg where his face is Mister Chief or Chuck Norris.
Why not show only an extreme close-up of the face (Eyes, Mouth, side of face) because it ads a lot more tension and sympathizes with the character more.
This is how I wasn't it, the for-runner explodes and Master Chief emerges (Escapes alive, In rubble,) and either has a broken Visor or takes off the Helmet and Adagio For Strings (Platoon) Plays in the background and we see his an Extreme Close-up of his eye and a single tear trickles down his destroyed face.
They might show his face reflected off of water or shiny metal but i doubt they would show the whole face since the helmet has become such an icon. As for my opinion I really don't care, Iwould like to see an eye or just a little skin :)
